Lenzman is an artist who's really been making waves throughout 2009 with productions on various labels including Sgn:LTD. Now the Shogun mob call him back once more to give us two more gems for the record box, one of which should be familiar to most having been a mainstay in the sets of Friction, Goldie and Spectrasoul amongst others over the past six months.
First up is 'Bittersweet' bringing some hazey jungle vibes back for 2010, complete with old-skool breaks and Riya's laidback voice that when mixed with some simple piano chords and warm bass makes for total dance floor seduction. This is what Fabio's Swerve night was made for.
Then 'Rags To Riches' straddles the dark/liquid divide like a champion as sumptuous pads and a shining break roll from the off ready to delve into some ominous b-line debauchery at the drop. Glinting fx continue to lighten the mood on top whilst the bass gets to work on this eyes-shut, heads-down roller until a couple of minutes in when the sweetest of soul vocals floats into the mix to add a whole new dimension to the track that'll work on any floor.
